UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual Health Plans of Georgia and Alabama welcomes Bryan Palmer as its new Chief Executive Officer. Bryan is no stranger to UnitedHealthcare – or the South. He brings more than 25 years of health care experience to his new role, of which 20 years have been with UnitedHealthcare commercial plans in Florida.

Bryan started at UnitedHealthcare as an account manager for Key Accounts in South Florida and has since held a variety of Small Business and Key Accounts sales and account management leadership roles until 2016, when he assumed his most recent role of regional growth officer for the Southeast region.

As the new CEO, Bryan is responsible for UnitedHealthcare’s commercial business growth and management in Georgia and Alabama, serving as the key leader of the senior management team and primary face to the community.

“Throughout my career at UnitedHealthcare, I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible teams committed to helping people live healthier lives,” Palmer shared. “I’m excited to transition to my new role as CEO and work closely with my team members – many of whom you probably already know – to ensure Georgians and Alabamans continue to have access to the support and services they need to achieve better health.”

Bryan’s extensive experience in sales and account management and keen understanding of what employers expect from UnitedHealthcare, coupled with his regional growth experience, will enable the Georgia/Alabama Health Plan to build on its momentum, maximize its growth potential and achieve even greater success. Bryan is a mission-driven leader and excellent people manager, as evidenced by the strong relationships he's developed both inside and outside UnitedHealthcare.
