Jake Evans Named Chair of Republican National Lawyers of Georgia

Jake Evans of Holland & Knight has been named Chairman of the Georgia Chapter of the Republican National Lawyers Association.

Evans will expand the Georgia Chapter, including growing a rotation of Republican lawyers throughout Georgia to assist with voter protection and election law issues. In his practice at Holland & Knight, Evans works extensively in litigation, government services and the financial services.

In addition to his law practice, Evans is Chairman of the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission (formerly the State Ethics Commission), a quasi-judicial body overseeing the ethical and reporting compliance of candidates for state and local elected office and lobbyists. He has received numerous honors and awards. He is a 2018 and 2019 Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star honoree, a recognition given to only 2.5 percent of Georgia lawyers, and was recognized by Georgia Trend magazine in its 2018 Legal Elite list for the best lawyers in Georgia. The ALM Daily Report named him one of 20 Georgia attorneys in its On the Rise Class of 2018, attorneys expected to go far in their fields.

James Magazine recognized Mr. Evans as one of Georgia's Most Influential Politically-Connected Attorneys in 2018 and 2019.

Evans is the current president of the Atlanta Young Republicans (AYR), the largest YR organization in the country. He frequently writes and speaks on legal and political issues, and he has appeared on many radio and television broadcasts, including CNN, NPR, PBS, CBS46, 106.7 FM, ABC's Channel 2, and Fox 5.
