Delta Ranked Number 1 Yet Again

The Wall Street Journal has just ranked Delta Airlines the top U.S. Airline of 2021. The company was ranked No. 1 overall and in five of  seven categories, including on-time arrivals, completion factor, preventing extreme delays and involuntary bumping, and lowest U.S. Department of Transportation complaints.

Delta has consistently been recognized for excellence in everything from passenger experience to customer service, operational performance to workplace culture. Below is a rundown of top awards Delta has won recently:

Glassdoor    Delta is the highest-ranking U.S. airline on Glassdoor's 2022 list of "Best Places to Work" and came in at No. 18 on the 2022 list of 100 large companies. The rankings are solely based on the input of employees who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback on their daily jobs, benefits, interview experience and work environment.

Cirium    Cirium’s new annual Platinum Award for operational excellence is presented to an airline with outstanding performance considering the complexity of the airline’s operation, volume of flights, diversity of its network and other key operational factors.
JUST Capital and Forbes    Delta was recognized as the No. 1 transportation company on The JUST 100: Companies Doing Right By America, which ranks companies on the social issues consumers care about most including fair wages, job creation and accountability. The airline ranked 38th on the global list of companies.

Corporate travel professionals rated Delta No. 1 in the annual Business Travel News Airline Survey for the 11th year in a row by a wide margin, citing the airline’s responsiveness to customers as well as its flexibility-minded approach throughout the pandemic and beyond.

​One month after the U.K. reopened to fully vaccinated U.S. residents without quarantine, Delta triumphed at the Business Travel Awards. Delta took home the Travel Partner of the Year – Global Airline accolade in recognition of our commitment to the health and safety of our customers during the pandemic.

The Business Travel Awards is one of the most prestigious travel awards events in the U.K. covering airline, hotel and ground transportation categories. The judges also praised Delta for our pioneering COVID-tested flight initiative from the U.S. to Amsterdam and Italy.

A study by The Points Guy finds that Delta offers the best overall experience for fliers for the third year running. The Points Guy’s airline ranking assesses reliability, experience, loyalty and costs and reach. The online travel and lifestyle platform said Delta topped rankings in reliability and travel experience and noted its consistent scores across all categories that pushed it to the top.

J.D. Power    Delta was recognized as the No. 1 airline in customer satisfaction in North America by the J.D. Power 2021 North America Airline Satisfaction Study, a prestigious honor that underscores the professionalism, care and humanity Delta people delivered during one of the most stressful periods for travel in modern history.
